2JZ-GTE cylinder head removal!

After finding out I had potentially damaged the cylinder head with my money shift back in September 2022 at Buttonwillow, I finally got around to tearing the motor down to get the head fixed.

As I got to the head removal step, there were definitely a few things that needed addressing as well. Found the T4 flange gasket partially blown out, heater hoses that burst with pressure, and oil leaks from around the cam position sensors. Pistons and cylinder walls looked to be in great shape luckily.

This was the first time I've ever taken a motor apart to this extent. I took my time with the disassembly process over the span of a few months (there were months I didn't work on it). I finally can say I have changed the headgasket on a motor!
