In today's video Jay talks about the hard to find Toyota Supra OEM Bare 2JZ-GTE VVT-i Cylinder Head.

10 Years ago you can easily get these bare cylinder head castings. Fast forward to today, These have been a highly wanted and needed item but have become very hard to get. Not only is it more expensive finding a used cylinder head but it is harder to find a brand new OEM one. These new heads is a great way to start your project as it allows you to have a cylinder head that has never been worked on, perfectly machined by Toyota the way they came from factory. We currently have them in stock and ready to ship

I think every single car enthusiast should have a spare engine tucked away. Already Rebuilt preferably. You never know what can happen, and it’s always great knowing you have something to drop in.

As others have commented. These are still available from Toyotya new in both VVTI and Non, but only the US spec heads with EGR ports. The best thing people can do is go out and buy one as Toyota work on part sales demand not vehicle age. If they are still selling toyota will still produce and stock.

Jay I hear that.... DART is in the process of building better short blocks for the 2jz and also heads. If course this will be a Win win for the markets because everyone loves this platform. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I know you focus on gasoline engines, but I’d love to see some diesel tear-downs. Love your work

You guys should do a video about the GE VVTi head vs GTE VVTi head. Would love to see Jay's opinion on the comparison of the two.

As the gte heads get harder to come by do think even more will be done with rebuilding used but seemingly plentiful vvti ge’s? I would love to see videos specifically from you on the pros and cons of ge builds at this current moment in the market, technology of the latest parts, etc etc.

Do a video on some of the crazy repairs to heads that get done.

I'd like to know why nobody is recasting and reproducing these heads? It's not like the market isn't there for it.

Could you do a vid looking at GE heads, is there any other differences apart from the ports? Cheers 😁

Aftermarket replacement heads for different budgets would be nice

700 or 800 rpms earlier is a huge difference. Especially on a larger turbocharged car.

"Not only is it more expensive finding a used cylinder head but it is harder to find a brand new OEM one." ...

Really? I really doubt that. Brand new OEM ones looks to be $1, 825.00, directly from dealers, you can find typical online discounts.

Toyota just gotta start melting some more cast and make these again
