This is actually not entirely fake, but still trash.

This experiment is frequently done to prove a biological phenomenon known as osmosis, which happens with two solutions separated by a semiwaterproof membrane (in this case, the surface of the gummybear.).
Basically, the solutions will passively equalize their concentration by interchanging solvents from the more hypotonic to the more hypertonic solution (AKA, from the least concentrated to the most concentrated.)
What this means is that you can actually inflate the gummy bear if you leave it in water for some days (though nowhere near as much as what you see on the vid).
However, adding enough salt to the water will shrivel up the gummy bear instead.

TL;DR : You can inflate the gummybear by leaving it in water for a few days, or you can make it smaller by leaving it in salty water instead.
The video just mixed up both and showed the inflation to be much more exaggerated.
