Omg, noise from both headphones....

Is this real...?

Michel van Biezen A few weeks ago, my dream of becoming an Engineer was very quickily beginning to fade as I was struggling in Physics for a third consecutive semester. Thanks to your vids, its all FINALLY starting to click! Thanks a million!

I'm blown away by how good these lectures are. Clear, concise, easy to understand. Theirs no need for silliness to keep it interesting because the pace of information is just right. I struggled with these (and other) concepts in engineering because much of the material was thrown at you with no explanation of where it came from. When Mr van Biezen says things like" Gauss was a smart guy who said that...." it makes a difference.

I love you Michel van Biezen! You've been my life safer in physics for the past 9 or so months of my life. Getting through my third course in physics now. So exciting!

Very good and impressive lecture. however one real nice trick was just missed out. pi(r(r)) was common on both sides so they could have been canceled out wiithout inputing any values.

Why we use gaussian surface(cylindrical shape) vertical on conductor material and not draw it as a horizontal to cover all the cahrges of the conductor!? .. I don't understand why we calculate only a tob of cylinder! and Can we use (spherical shape) as a Gaussian surface?

In this video, you said that Q = 2π r^2 σ. So the final equation could be simplified to E= (4 σ π^2 r^2 k)/( π r^2) which simplifies further into E= 4πσk but this doesn't mention the distance the gaussian sphere is to the surface of the conductor.

You have amazing lectures, very clear and helpful explanation. Thank you!
For this particular example, I noticed areas cancel.

I like your lectures a lot....Thanks for all your efforts. My teacher can't even get any closer to your way of teaching.. Kudos

Thanks for the example. If you left your Q value in units of radius and pi you could have eliminated them when you brought over your area.

Thank god you made more videos on Gauss's law! They are extremely helpful!

This is awesome content, thank you. One minor comment - had you left (sigma x A) and plugged that in directly, the πr^2 would have cancelled out and your calculation would simply have been sigma/epsilon0.

Thank you for sharing these, you are really helping me through electrostatics. It's a shame that we here in Europe use more of a complex way for solving these kind of problems. Wish we had solving problems this clear, but unfortunately I have to write down the exercises just as our professor does, or it's a year lost :/
