How To Change Encoding in Visual Studio Code on Mac OS
In this video we are going to see simple steps to change encoding in Visual Studio Code editor.
Setting Correct Encoding is important to ensure that a file data is not corrupted.
Let get right into it.
I have the visual studio code editor open for us. You can go to Preferences menu and select settings.
This will open the settings tab.
Now search for encoding.
You will notice the editor encoding options.
You may notice that it is default set to UTF-8
The most popular encoding is UTF-8 - that stands for Unicode Transformation Format - 8 bits.
You can change it to any encoding value that you prefer.
The changes are automatically saved.
