Blender for Scientists - Let's Make and Animate a TOC Graphic

In this video I go through a start to finish breakdown of how I would make (in this case recreate) a TOC figure in Blender. I've added a little bit of animation as a bonus. In many ways this is how I would anticipate a working scientist would use Blender - to create their own TOCs or figures. In the future I will be doing more videos in this format showing how you can make elements of specific TOCs. I also how to give a sense of how long it takes to make a figure/TOC using Blender and also to highlight resources and workflows that can speed up the process and make it easier and more accessible to beginners in 3D.

All of the assets I have published can be found on either gumroad or blendswap. They are free in both cases. Blendswap comes with a CC-0 license and gumroad has the option of paying if you'd like to support the channel.

This week's Nature front cover (Volume 603 Issue 7899, 3 March 2022) looks remarkably like this figure.

Thank you so much . You are a life saver. The way how you explain is so clear. I am a scientist and was looking videos to learn these kinds of illustrations please keep on uploading more

Hi sir, thank you for your high quality videos. I would like to cover my thesis manuscript. my work has focused on the numerical simulation of Molecules (phthalocyanine, porphyrin, fullerene c60) adsorbed on a substrate using DFT, a DFT + DMFT. I would like to highlight these molecules falling on a substrate with a fare equation of this DFT theory. just in image no video. I have been familiar with blender for 3 months. please could you provide a tutorial for us doctoral students? or nois give some ideas and suggestion?

Sir this is the future. Being a Lecturer myself I was in desperate need of a tool like Blender to showcase my ideas. And you proved to be a lifesaver. Keep it up. Perhaps you don't know that you have ventured into something that will definitely make you a torch of the future.
And I am quite confident about it.

Thank you so much for sharing such a great work. I want to know what's the software you opened at about 17:20, whose logo seems like a black letter P?
