Best review of the QS-BT1 I've seen, been trying to dial it in and your settings have been on point. Agreed, the UI could use some love but it's an awesome addition. Also, gonna steal your smart plug idea for the PSU, that and the software are the only cons for myself.

Many years ago I was fortunate to be able to have a half day on an early prototype of the Mercedes F1 simulator. It had a belt tensioning system as well and it added far more than the movement effects did at the time. I'll certainly be getting one of these for my home sim.

That’s a great review; asking the right questions and giving informative answers. The belts for example and how your rig is built, including the seat. For example, I own that Simlab four point belt system and my shoulder height would be too high for the system to work properly. So that’s a good point I have to wrap my head around now. If you have a seat with a hole for the submarine belt, you often don't need to use the cross belts.

This is actually a super clever solution to the g force issue. I wonder if thi would be a good combo with a slip angle kit.
