There is an officially licensed racing wheel for the ps2, in fact there’s 2. The Logitech GranTurismo Force and the Logitech Driving Force Pro. I have both.

I had a ps2 wheel that looked just as plasticy and sounded like it too. But it was a different one. And the base of it was shaped like the front of a car. Still have it. Good times

you can see the input lag, you need to be using an upscaler to get rid of that

I got a V3 racing wheel similar to yours, , but it never worked with Gran Turismo, GT2 nor GT3.
