It just struck me how incredibly unique this place is. It's a full-on manufacturing site for large scale production of giant rockets. Rockets have never been built this way - discounting military type lesser vehicles designed to go boom, I guess... But space rockets? Nah... they get built in secret hangers... one every few years or so... What a world. Thanks Elon. Thanks everyone in these photos. Thanks Lab Padre.

In a humid environment a new steel tank will look like that in a matter of months, this is normal.

It's nothing more than an outside surface oxidation that is easily reversable and preventable once a cathode reduction system is installed on the tank. No need to install such a system and run it while the tank is in storage or transit.

Chief is a miracle for you Louis. In the right place at the right time. Tanks oxidized on the outside is deceiving because they are often thicker than they need to be for the application. Maybe for water usage.They must have passed the x-ray exam or they wouldn't be here. Never judge a book by it's cover. I'm so happy to still be alive to see this. Google did an update a while back and screwed up my Pay pal account. On my third bout of bladder cancer from agent orange. Hope to get things restored before long. Say hi to the gang and let them know I'm fighting.

I've mentioned it before but the text is so small it's unreadable when using a phone. If it was twice the size it would be readable. Note that a lot of people don't use a PC or Notebook anymore, just a cell phone so maybe do something to accommodate this?
