That thug was spitting not only straight facts but pretty good impressions too.

If I was Batman I would have absolutely given away my position from laughing

Let's face it: the voice actors for the thugs are the real stars of this game. Without them, I probably would have been depressed without any comedy relief.

I mean…….they’re not wrong. Imagine having to work for 2 bosses that are batshit crazy while fighting a grown man in a Bat Suit. Makes you rethink your life choices.

The thing is these two thugs perfectly summed up Joker and Harley's relationship.

If you don't listen to the thug's dialogue, you're playing the game wrong

After hearing some thugs conversations I don’t wanna beat ‘em up. Biggest example was in Harley Quinn’s revenge when the guys were talking about making a plan to escape if Harley gets too crazy

"Oh, Mister J, please hurt me some more."
Does actually sound a lot like Harley.

Something I like about these games is that thugs really are a mix of “ride or die” and “in it to survive”. Lots of criminals joim Joker’s gang because it’s either that or get killed. There are several you can hear talk about defecting to Penguin’s crew if Joker dies. The thugs that aren’t stupid are the ones who understand which team to be on that leaves them with the highest chance for survival. Plenty understand that a Harley Quinn gang is practically a Joker Death Cult and want no part of it.

I love these conversations. Not only are they funny, sometimes it is just interesting to hear what the thugs say about their lifestyle and their boss.
I remember one that scared me a bit about the Joker.
I played in german, so I can't guarantee a good quote, but it was about that Joker told a thug he should drive over his sister.
Another thug told then that Joker asked the same for him. The thug was trying to explain that he has no sister, but Joker insisted he should drive over his sister or the Joker will kill him.
So he panicked, got into his car and ran over the next woman he saw.
Joker was pleased.

I mean, I know we are talking about the Joker here but still wtf?! oo
It is dialogues like these that makes the world alive, sometimes funny, sometimes just interesting to listen.

No veteran of the Arkham series will skip the thug dialogues. Even after multiple play throughs. They’re always entertaining and fun to hear. It gives them character instead of normal, boring, Skyrim like NPCs

The thug convos are the greatest part of the Arkham series.

Thug: "You go fight Batman, While I make a daring escape!"
Batman: Honesty, Having to choose between a sadistic boss and a masochistic boss is a fate worse than death. I know where you guys are coming from.
Thug: It's BATMAN!

In these situations Batman must be thinking “too bad pop-corn is such a loud food".
