It was actually created by two algerians in France. It’s not a taco at all lol i never understood why they name it like this. But it’s so delicious ! So many différents variations, one rule always ask for extra cheese

Yeah as an Algerian I distinctly remember being very excited about trying tacos when I first saw them on a menu... only to be greeted by a Shawarma's North African cousin. Still delicious though!

Cuz on shawarma we put garlic sauce and vegetables
And on tacos we put only chicken fries and the thing that makes it special the cheese sauce
