Great news. I reinstalled MotionEye and to my surprise, when I opened the page all my settings were preserved - because my restore didn't affect the Config folder. Nice!

Just mention that if you want to use USB cameras attached to the host, you must add to the Stack:

devices:
- /dev/video0:/dev/video0
- /dev/video1:/dev/video1
... and so on

Awesome video. I can use my eufy cameras with motion eye but the problem is that they are greyed out. They are recording and saving the videos, but can't stream via motion eye. Just greyed out. Anyone can help ?

I restored from a backup and the file system is good. Now I'll start on MotionEye again. But that's gonna wait til tomorrow.

So I installed MotionEye in OMV5 and have my UniFi cameras attached. It's taken me a lot of tweaking of MotionEye to try to duplicate the settings I used by default in the UniFi NVR. Still more tweaking to be done. I bought three Wyze cameras.

I installed everything like on your video, everything works fine at the program level. But when I install the cameras, instead of having the video live, I just have a gray square displayed. I can not get any video, yet I have configured well in rtsp, it finds me my camera, but nothing to do for the display.
Do you have a solution?

just do as in your blog, no changes, but now i got Motioneye, i got picture with networkcamera and rtsp://ipadres:port but for storage default is: /var/lib/motioneye/Camera1 Where is that? how to change to

Hi, Excellent tutorial. Hope this is not a daft question but it's something that I've no idea what the answer is - Is there a maximum amount of clients that can successfully connect to an RTSP steam from a Wyze Cam failing that any RTSP Cam please? Asking as would like to use let's say for example MotionEye and OrchidCoreVMS all running consequetively on different contrainers and Virtual Machines. Cannot get the Streaming URL working on MotionEye by the way. Any idea's why this would not be working please? Am 99.9% sure that this works on a Raspberry Pi however perhaps the port is getting blocked? Keep up the great content. All the best.

I have MotionEye running as a plugin in Hassio with wyze cameras flashed back to RTSP firmware, but I will most likely change that setup soon. Wyze has released a major update that brings back person detection again (though it's cloud based this time) It's too bad they are not keeping RTSP up to date.

How can it be set for the Wyze cams to not send any traffic outside?
I don't want them to have access to the internet because it bogs down my internet. I want to only use them locally.
