As a long term slicer with a driver, I would agree that this is one of the best tips that I have come across. Easy to visualise and to do. Simple is always best !Thanks Alistair.

An absolutely game changing tip for me. It delivered everything you said it would I gained distance and a consistent draw. My ball striking was pure and effortless . Videos on the range show I get the impact position I’ve been striving for. A less extreme version works brilliantly with my irons too. Thank you so much Alistair.

OMG!!!! I tried this today as I was struggling with the driver lately. This drill is worth 10 lessons or I was hitting the ball straight and LONG, I easily added 30 yards to my drives, why the hell doesnt anyone else talk about This is easily the best tip I ever got and has done for my golf game than all the lessons i have taken combined. Thank you, Thank you, thank you!!!!

I’m looking forward to trying this. I’m curious why you would go back to the old way if this improved your driving. Thank you.

I will definitely give it a try. I still think your “low hands” swing thought (Justin Rose) is the best ever!

I have used your set up recommendation where the club is behind the ball 12 inches. As I recall, it did not feel strange at all and after viewing this video Alistair, I'm going to try it again. I do normally swing in to out anyway, so it should cause no problems! Good Job Alistair! Keep up the good work!!!

Wide stance, starting 12 inches behind the ball, single plane swing and the finish with the club. This is Moe Norman's Single Plane Swing. Give credit to the man from Canada. Todd Graves of Graves Golf teaches this swing with clear explanations.

This actually works - pulling the driver head back a few inches so you actually hit up on the ball. I have been setting up with the head sitting next to the ball/tee, and could not get rid of my slice or sometimes taking out the tee under the ball. Another pro tip to help the inside out path - move your trail foot back a few inches (closed stance). 9 out of 10 times now, I carry the ball about 250 yards and have a slight draw.

Like the tip. My tip is don’t over grip the club. Woods in general. Don’t grip it too tight, causes over curve. That right there reduced my slice to a nice fade and hook to a nice draw. Dk what it does to the shaft and face but you can feel it in the hands keeps the ball from knuckling off the planet

Thanks Alister I to have the over the top upper body downswing start, now with your set up shoulders facing slightly right you take your normal backswing, (either arm swing or shoulder turn)please explain the how you think you are making your transition and downswing motion as this I would like to have in my mind when I get to the top

I set up this way to get my low point behind the ball. I have a tendency to hit down on the ball if I address it with my clubhead right behind the ball.

Do you look at the ball or the spot on the ground where the club is starting?

Start behind the ball and FINISH behind the

I been doing this with my Driver and hitting the ball great, but irons different story. Would this work with the irons shots

Ok, where is the club facing? Square to the target line or to the new swing path direction line.

Eyes looking at ground 6" behind ball?

Yeah, this works. I set up with the club head six inches behind the ball as a rule.

Worked for Norman, works for Rahm, but did absolutely nothing for me unfortunately
