While everyone is chasing the latest iPhone and cars and other meaningless shit I'm working on 8 acres of land with timber and mineral rights. I'm trying to make sure I don't have to go anywhere when shtf.

It always amazes me how most people think that in a crisis situation the government will be there to help out so it's not necessary to be prepared. I remember the empty store shelves during the Cuban missle crisis and to this day so many years later it still scares me.
Setting up a stash is neither hard nor expensive to do if you do it over time. That said, to have a well rotated and viable stock it does take a little effort to manage. Keep it simple but definitely be prepared for at least a couple of weeks.

Regardless of how much you prepare, be aware of the fact that people who didn’t prepare will be armed.

Gold and silver along with currency will be useless! You can’t eat that stuff. Also liquor is a great barter item. Lots of people will try to drink their anxieties away! 👌🏻

It amazes me how people are in the comments talking about not prepping because they plan on raiding people's homes. You don't think people will be armed and just take you out when you come for their food?

Only need about a week or 2 worth of food. Promise if things get that bad, you will likely need to be on the move. Besides, whatever you stockpile you gotta be prepared to protect. People get hungry and they will come looking

I have dual purpose chickens, dogs, and cats...all have a job...I grow food in the elements year round...not in a green house! I have a garden for me and one for my animals, do the research those reading this comment. I make sure to buy "extras" when I can...great job sir

I guess its pretty hard to argue with people when the stores are always full.
but I still have been trying to become independent of the stores, what kills me is loosing plants to a cold snap or rabbits or deer

My uncle was a prepper for many years. He had tons of food in barrels that eventually got so old (25+ years, I think) it wasn't edible anymore.
