My grandfather had an old metal mre kit he kept next to nannas sewing machine in the cupbourd. I asked him what it was and he told me it was a lunch his friend asked him to hold on to for him. Wasnt untill i was older that I learned he never made it back to pick it up. Treasure those closest to you, always.

“Eating slowly will give more satisfaction” seems so innocent but has such a dark meaning, imagine living in a freshly apocalyptic America after it was bombed and having to trick your body to thinking it’s full off the very limited food supply you have.

The food in this packet is especially for survival use. The food can be eaten even when water supply is limited.
Caution: if you are exposed to salt spray or have swallowed salt water, do not use the soup and gravy base.
The soup base may be made into a broth or used to season chicken-flavored or cheese-flavored soup. The food packet can holds 12 ounces water, brimful, when opened with a can opener, or 8 ounces, brimful, when opened with a key.
Eating slowly will give more satisfaction.
