How To Remove A Carpet Metal Strip - SIMPLE & EASY!

I just need to lift mine up so that I can re-glue and reapply laminate tile that has started to raise due to water seeping in from the carpet when I steam cleaned it because the installers did not go around the edges of the tile with silicone caulk. I just want to gently pry it back and leave it on the carpet and then put it back down after I finish re-gluing the tiles.

Can you give me a suggestion for removing it without causing any damage so that I can put it back down again?

I need to remove carpet from a snub-nosed doorway transition strip, but only temporarily, to access the subfloor space. Is there any way of getting carpet out of the strip without damaging the carpet or the strip?

I believe he started out right, prying up the nap lock with a wonder bar. He obviously does not have to reinstall THAT carpet, as pulling the carpet out of the nap lock shreds the carpet edge and does not allow for an undamaged carpet edge to make a secure re-installation of the existing carpet. To reinstall that carpet, with a shredded edge, is a guarantee of future unraveling and failure at the nap lock. MUCH better to pry up the entire length of the metal and lift the existing carpet, vs pulling and shredding the carpet. 40 years in Restoration speaking here. Cheers, David

I am laying LVP in my bathroom that had vinyl sheet 2 LAYERS of vinyl sheet flooring. I wonder if I even need to remove the metal strip.

This should be tittled as how to rippout your metal transitional. This is not a proper removal.
