2004 Ram 1500 4x4 Rear Shocks DIY Install Bilstein 4600 Series Shock Abosorbers

Today we are installing Bilstein 4600 series shocks on the rear end of my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.7l v8 Hemi. These shocks are a decent upgrade from what the previous owner had put on the truck. I've put several thousand miles on these shocks now and still love them! Some people claim that these will give a harsher ride...I have not noticed that on either this truck or even the 350z where I have installed the same series as well. I have a video on doing the front shocks coming soon! Stay tuned!

Was just quoted $300 for shocks and install. I found a set for $135. That means $165 saved. This is the second video of yours that has came in handy. Thanks

Did you notice a difference while driving in these new shocks installed? I’m already replacing the rack and pinion, outer tie rods, and upper control arms. Figured while im knocking all that out why not upgrade the shocks. Mine truck has a 3” lift as well does that affect which shocks I should get or would these still work? Great video man

Is there a difference or necessity in the shock boot being place in the up or down position?
