You could have climbed on top of the white fireplace, which you passed while crossing the miller's backyard. He won't be able to reach you there, and you can use a bow to kill him.

For those that wonder what would happen if you don’t fight him. I did not fought him I just let him notice me but ran behind the mill and waited for black Peter to sheathe his sword and shield, then proceeded to follow him see if he takes me to a spot where he resides. I continued to Followed him and I came across the executioner house black Peter will head to the end of the map but you won’t be able to follow him any further as the game won’t allow you too and henry Will say he can leave and has to talk to sir radzig before leaving but that just the end of the map where you can’t venture further not even if you beat the game. Lol lmao just wanted to see if it was possible to keep following black peter just to see if he had a spot where I can knock him out & then finish him and loot his corpse and the place he resides in, but no luck.

I killed him on the spot there with my dog assistance, so no kills added to my Merciful run, but hell I got stabbed once. So I simply reached for my saddlebag for antidote and ... didn´t have one.

Saddled my horse and sprinted towards bathhouse with Marigold potion to slow down dying. With 30 hp left I reached baths and ... it was already closed, it was after nightfall.

Last chance was the Apothecary on the square. Horse did his best and with whole screen red I reached that shop. Luckily for me, Konias was still in there. With 6hp left I engaged the talk with him, bought an antidote to poison and immediately after closing the dialogue I went to my inventory and drank that sht :D

Marigold potion was still running alongside chamomile one, so I slowly rode towards next mission objective and let that thing settle down. By the time I reached Samopesh I was almost fullhp.

But man that was close!

I'm still on my first run of kcd 1 and only completed the tourney quite late on the game so when black Peter ambushed and poisoned Henry it did gave me quite a shock, considering it has been a long time since he came across that poor blacksmith in Samopesh and being warned about engaging with black Peter. Luckily Henry got a nice horse and some health potions so he could leave the scene temporarily, steady his health and run to the alchemist for antidote after finishing the amusher. It was such a thrill!

I was fast travelling back to Rattay in the middle of the night when he ambushed me and I beat him, it helped I was fully plated lol

On my playthrough, I just hacked the bastard to death like a hunk of ham with the longsword I found in the forrest

absolutely destroyed him during the tourney and couldnt even get a hit on him during the ambush

I fell for the trap but he didn't manage to poison me lmao, it took only one mace strike in the head to knock him out. It was when I looted him that I found out he would have poisoned me

I just got ambushed by someone and I found strange (1) it was because of how close to Theresa it was.

I killed him easily because I was on my way to dispatch the 3rd bandit camp and had full armor on.

The second thing I found strange (2) was his name, I fought him at the tournament! The funnny part is that he dropped almost dead after some hits, then I started to loot the b*stard and during the loot he proceeded to wake up and fight me bare handed to no hope. Only after looking at the loot I found the poisoned sword.

After this point I decided to look up his name on YT.

Another fun fact is that I literally stole his armor the night prior the tournament and had no idea he was the former champion lol

Without even knowing he indeed had a legitimate reason to be mad at me.

This guy annoyed me at first. I kept succumbing to the poison. A good tip is to visit the apothecary in Rattay first and buy the Antidote potion before fighting him. He rarely blocks head stabs so I use them to kill him. Then pop the potion after the fight.

Last time I faced him I just left him alone. HAHAHAHA never saw him again.

You can also jump in the patch of rotting stuff in front ot Peshek's house and he will stand outside the limit while you do target practice with your bow ^ ^

First time. I didn't know about this and was riding my horse, so ya, I was poisoned before I even got up.
