Martin OM-28JM vs. OMJM vs. OM-42

OMG the OM-28JM sounds pretty the same as my 00028EC, Martin guitars are just magical, especially the om/000 body.

Wow, what a difference it makes to listen through good earphones. My perceptions changed dramatically. Without earphones and listening on my laptop, I preferred the 28 JM, but with good earphones, the 42 took it for me pretty easily.

Finally! Welcome back. Can't believe I am going to say this but I think the OMJM sounds the best. It's merely an opinion, one that shocks me as well as I always thought the om28jm would take the cake. The ear does not lie.

Probably an unpopular opinion but i think the OM 42 when strummed with a pick sounds best by a country mile. The omjm (not 28) sounds best finger picked because it is the heaviest braced and has a more focused and bright sound which comes across great when picked with the pads of your fingers but sounds a little harsh with a pick. The om42 if you like a warmer mid scooped sound. The omjm if you like bright and focused projection, the om28jm if you like an in between do anything guitar.

I have the OM28JM, OMJM and an OM 42 KOA. I usually switch them around every few months because sometimes one sounds or feels better. Right now I'm playing my OM42 the most. The OM28JM has the brightest sound but the OMJM is not far off IMO. The OM42 KOA has a more reserved sound and not as bright and sometimes that's nicer. I heard the same differences in your well made video. This will get a lot of hits!

I played an OMJM and that guitar sounds amazing. I'm not much of a John Mayer fan (when it comes to his pop music) but he is a phenomenal blues/rock guitar player. I would have no regrets owning a John Mayer Martin. When it comes to Martin, I love the OMJM, the vintage OOO's, the Clapton OOO-28EC model, D-35, and any other OM guitar. Martin is phenomenal and expensive but well worth every penny.

I own both the OM28 and OMJM and I got to say the OM-42 sounds just like the acoustic album.

The OM28JM has the bottom end wideness of the OMJM and the top end shimmer of the OM-42, really quite a remarkable guitar. The OMJM is the best bang for your buck though in my opinion.

Nice collection man! Just bought the OM42, the lack of mids was personally the best sound for me although I am a HUGE Mayer-fan, I went for my personal sound. Nice video's, thanks for that!
