One of the most interesting ideas to come out of Timothy Zahn's expanded universe novels is the idea that, because they had become dependent on Palpatine's battle meditation, the Empire (and particularly the Endor Battlegroup) actually got measurably stupider when Palpatine got distracted and was finally killed.

As Palleon wonders, things would have gone different if Thrawn had been in command of the Endor fleet.

The Emperor was so obsessed with have full control, that the Imperial Fleet fell apart.

Honestly since when did the empire ever had a good strategy that didnt involve vader, the emperor directly or thrawn?

When in doubt, blame the ego of the Empire/Palpatine.

I’m a huge Empire fanboy but one thing I hated was how selfish and power hungry Palpatine was. So much so that he even implemented contingencies to destroy his own Empire after death rather than implement a way for the remaining Imperials to find themselves a new system of power.

What is spice and why is it so valuable? #AskEck

I recall it being mentioned in "Truce at Bakura" that it would have only taken a roving Imperial sector fleet to destroy the rebel fleet after the Battle of Endor.

Let us all *admit* that Palpatine is/was a very bad leader; a very loose sith lord and he was too full-of-himself

What kind of weapon did the Forerunners used exactly?
Was it Plasma, Laser, Beam, Railgun, Plasma Bolt, Phasers, or was it something else and how effective and powerful was it?

#AskEck is there any flaws with rebel ships? if so, can you cover those?

The bad guys in star wars almost always have bad ideas and are made to be stupid by plot armor. Great video

I had always thought the Battle of Endor was based on the Battle of Midway. Even after the loss of the 4 carriers the Japanese still had a strong naval force in the area. But he loss of the carriers was such a shock to them, that they turned and left. The same as the Empire did even though they still had the advantage

Plot armor is the only reason the Rebellion wins against a numerically and technologically superior Empire. Don’t believe the lies of Endor.

There was an article that said it was actually Declann doing the battle meditation, but he tried to run to the Emperor's aid when Vader grabbed him which broke off his concentration. Either way, it had the same effect.

It may have been stupid to not send in a 2nd attack, but was it as stupid as that one guy who'll actually attempt to raid Area 51?

Would thrawn have favored the Executor class SDDs or the Bellators more? Which fit his strategy better?
