What Went Wrong with Payday 2 on Consoles?

It's a question we've all wondered, any today I'm going to try my best to answer it - what EXACTLY has caused all the issues when it comes to the future of console updates for Payday 2? Today I'm going to explore all of the reasons that led to the problems we see today on the console versions of Payday 2.

Honestly, if they just add the event items, and the raid ww2 weapon pack and suit and glove customization then they would basically complete the game for most BECAUSE GLOVES AND SUIT MATTER DAMMIT.

It seems Overkill dug themselves a hole before they even released Payday, by putting it on the worst game engine possible for their game. And they just dug deeper as the years went on

I understand if some of the pc heists are too big but I personally would like to see some small bank heists like go bank

The fact they even thought of going free-forever is honestly just amazing, not many companies would even consider that so the fact they did it until they almost crashed is even more of a reason for us to love them, they aren't like BHVR with their NFT's or EA with their microtransactions, they were upfront saying "we messed up we are gonna burn if we dont break our promise" and for that i give them mad respect, i understand the console issues and of course as a console player its sad i wont get new stuff but if they change this when Payday 3 releases it will be worth it im sure, they're a good company and i trust them to do the best for the community even if it is to sacrifice the few so that one day we can all experience a game so fantastic that Payday 2 will be a mere stepping stone to our heisting futures, i am willing to give them time to get the ball rolling, they are honest, driven and great people, they made an amazing game and even in the hardest of times didnt push the community into the pit to save themselves, i will be there all the way i can make that a certainty, i dont mind spending money on DLC's its normal to do so, just do your best on Payday 3 and make it great for all of us.

I’m just hoping that whenever Payday 3 comes out, that they’re managed better on the PS5 and Xbox Series X (seriously Microsoft, your naming conventions...). As much as I love this game, they REALLY dropped the ball.

So to explain it simply: They need to be focused on making money. Updating console would make them lose money.

me and my mates picked up payday on the PS4 and it’s a good game I’m not sure how much content is missing though but it sucks it’s not been supported
