Cool! Let's see how consistent Rob can be with the full application of the Mosaic law:

1) Buying a slave is not directly against the Mosaic law.
But how does this custom translate for us today?
( Exodus 21:2)

2) Selling your daughter to pay off debts is not directly against the Mosaic law but how does this custom translate for us today?
(Exodus 21:7)

3) Grabbing an unwilling pretty girl from the warzone and "if the vibes are not there" dump her later, is not directly against the Mosaic law but how does it translate for us today?
(Deuteronomy 21:10)

3) Offering your (unwilling) daughter to your male servant because your wife couldn't give you a boy - and hopefully she'll produce a male offspring for you - is not directly against the Mosaic law, but how does this translate for us today?

- Adding several wives to your house is not directly against the Mosaic law but how does it affect us today?

Will you come back to the defense of US soldiers who simply grabbed an unwilling pretty girl from Iraq because Ancient Israel did it 3000 years ago?

Remember, if you guys promote polygyny as a preference acceptable today, all of the other Israelites' customs mentioned above are also simple preferences.
If you are not willing to stand up for them, no one will stand up for your polygyny either.

Leviticus 20:10 doesn't say anything about a woman having more than one husband. The man and the woman are both cheaters (adulterers) in that verse. What translation are you reading from?

Verses you sited do not condone polygamy and are horribly taken out of context.

Also… it doesn’t matter if it’s against worldly laws… Only the law of God. In the OT men had more than wife and it was condemned. However they weren’t told to divorce a wife because that would also be sin and would leave a woman in a very vulnerable position during that time with nowhere to go… so it was allowed to continue for protection and to not fix sin with yet another sin…. but was still condemned. The NT also makes it very clear that your eyes are to be on one woman.

Polygamy is a sin and an issue of lust.
