Veo programas de la televisión americana y alucino como "sueltan" a los hijos al mundo nada más terminar el instituto, si miro a mi hijo de 15 años que no sabe freirse un huevo .Incluso me fijo en entrevistas con expresiones como " mis padres me dejan dormir en a tios de 20 años, o a jovencitas de 18 pidiéndole a su madre si la invita a comer....(todo eso inconcebible en la cultura española)obligandoles a madurar demasiado rápido y si no están preparados

I feel the same. I moved from France to Sweden at the age of 35. I have leaved here 18 years now and when i visit my family in France, people do not reconize me anymore. Even my mother thinks that i have changed, as you said i do not fit in the box anymore. I found a new box and will never come back!

Recognizable! When I moved to my current home. I moved from a 'traditional' part of the Netherlands. Nowadays people ive known for years have a difficulty understanding my choices. Thank you for the video and analysing your own experience. It did put things in perspective.

Very good advice, as you put in a way that shows how things are without unnecessarily critizing them and then highlight a positive way to make change for the better. Its constructive is what I want to say it is I guess.
talking about new ways, new possibilites and the value of that over the negative sides of what is there is the best way to encourage someone.
