One thing I've been doing when I hit a low mojo point is create a card for myself. I use my favorite colors, favorite patterned papers and a stamp that makes me smile. Then I choose a sentiment that I need to hear hear right now - whether it's a simple "you've got this" or an affirmation to remind me to be more gentle and patient with myself. I have a notebook with favorite quotes or song lyrics that nestle perfectly inside the card.

For me, making cards is about bringing joy to others through creativity. So, taking a moment to do something delightful and fun for myself is just the right way to change my perspective. And with that change in perspective, I often find many more ideas to try. 🙂

You could do a whole series on tip 5. That would be awesome. Just pick a different stamp set each time etc😊

I'd really like to see you make a video with that last idea - using one stamp set in ten different ways. That's definitely going to be one that I'm going to try ASAP! Thanks for the great ideas.

I love sitting with my mum and making cards. Our styles are so different but when we do it together I find we both pull things from the each other and put it into what we each create.
Crafting with a friend is a great way to get your creativity ticking over again.

These are wonderful ideas! My tip: I once challenged myself to making cards using only 1 stamp set with sentiments and a 6x6 pattered paper. I was really surprised at how it turned out not only did I come up with several beautiful cards but it made me realize how little is truly needed, how relaxing it was to create this way! 💕🇨🇦

I love to hear how you think and plan what you are going to make. When I get stuck, I either flip through new stamps, or designer paper. That typically leads me forward

OMG you mentioned the Time Out Challenge!!! Thank you so much, I've been part of their team for years and even though I know our challenge has grown in popularity I had no idea someone like yourself would ever notice us!! You've totally made my day!!

Thank you. I have way too many paper craft products - which I love... But sometimes I feel overwhelmed and don’t know how to start a new project. I do find having a clean and organised craft space really helps. This video was really helpful in bringing things back to the basics. I would love to see more like this. From Donna (Australia)

LOVED this video and all your inspiring suggestions!! Yes! More themes like this are welcome! Perhaps a few card sketches of how you designed 10 different ideas for one stamp set? Just to get our creative juices going!😊❤️

One thing I will do sometimes is choose a stamp set I have, and do an online image search for that set. Either Google (click on the Image tab after performing the search) or Pinterest works well for this. I just like to see other people's takes on using that set, and that can get my creative juices flowing. Especially for sets I've used before & for which I'd like new ideas. For instance, last week I entered a challenge to create a Christmas card using only black & white. I wanted to use an older set that I've used before, Hero Arts' "Vintage Christmas Post, " but couldn't think of any way using just black & white that seemed good. I found a card through a Google search that was 4 of the images on squares, arranged in the middle of the card in a larger square "pattern, " with the greeting underneath. My take on that idea was to stamp 3 of the images in black on white cardstock, die cut them with a Hero Arts "Postage Stamps" die, and arrange them on a black strip across a white card front, with the greeting underneath. A super simple card to pull together, once I had that inspiration. Thank you for sharing these 5 tips, Kristina! I'd love to see more videos like this. Even when your mojo isn't necessarily absent, it can still be fun and/or interesting to mix things up a little and see where that takes you. I'd especially like to see a video on your last tip. Thanks so much for sharing, & have a magnificent day! :)

Another tip is to swap supplies or stamp sets with a friend for a weekend or something and use something new for free

I love this. Great ideas.
I just started Justine Hovey's cardmaking resource binder and it's been a huge help with trying to figure out what to do when I'm stuck and I've learned some new techniques. I like the idea of creative challenges. Theres a series in and of itself.
