What Remains of Edith Finch - House Introduction Trailer | PS4

What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of short stories about a cursed family in Washington state, brought to you by Giant Sparrow, the studio responsible for the surreal first-person painting game The Unfinished Swan.

Each story offers a chance to experience the life of a different family member with stories ranging from the early 1900s to the present day. The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the family members themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death. It's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us.

You'll follow Edith Finch as she explores the history of her family and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive.

I'm so glad I live in a time when there is so much value placed on story and creative visuals.  Being a grown adult and actually feeling something new and original is a rare thing.  I have played video games my whole life, and when I played The Unfinished Swan, I felt a novelty I hadn't yet experienced.  As a point of comparison, I love playing The Witcher 3 right now.  But there is not a single thing in it that feels wholly new.
Watching this trailer, with the unique display of memory/story/home movies projected against the surfaces of the house... I get excited about feeling something new again. :)

I was just skimming past gamescom and e3 2014 and re-watched bits of the conference and came across this and literally wished for it to see some light and it did! Hoping for the same with the forest as well :)

I had Just played the game! Seriously, Guys, It's one of the Most Beautiful Games that I had ever played. The Story, Art, Animation and last but not the least the Narration _/\_. It's a short game but I must say it would do justice to every penny that you spent on it. Kudos Team Gaint Sparrow!
