I'd have loved to see the thought process behind putting up a swing that close to the edge of a cliff. What could possibly go wrong.

One of the most memorable game scenes I've ever played.

“Maybe if I hadn’t said that, maybe if the wind hadn’t picked up, then maybe he’d still be here”
that made me cry 😭

I was hurt by this one.

I was sitting in my chair, covering my face with one hand, and moving the joystick with the other.

This scene was too much for me, knowing how brutal this scene was.

When i was exploring the brothers room i kinda stand there for a minute staring at the wall with the height of Calvin and Sam, one kept growing and the other "stoped".
Boy that gave me the feels so much.
I need to reinstall this game, such a masterpiece.

This scene, this game, is an expirience for itself, it's the sounds of the swing, the voice of his mother, the wind, the little things that make this scene just... perfect.

This scene push me up in my role of a videogamer. It's a real confrontation between my narrative as a player and the narrative of the story. I didn´t wanna kill Calvin, but, of course, I knew it was necesary to make a step forward. This explotion make me feel like never before. This reading voice over, the story content and the decay enviroment.

I’m just saying the last like 3 swings before he finally goes around completely defy the laws of physics. You don’t just go to 180 degrees and come straight back in a normal swing pattern...

If Calvin survived I feel that he would've grown up and broke the curse, and he would've pursued his dreams.

What’s rly sad was that he was only 11 years old, just think about that... let it sink in, he could of lived out his life longer than 11...

I was inspired by how Calvin was remembered, doing something and sticking to what he was doing, never giving up he stuck to his mind

I hope to play this game again when I'm a lot older. I want to experience all of the feelings again after a long life.

Once I did like Calvin but I survived. Real life simulator.

When I first played this sequence, I was having fun because the swings are my favorite thing to play on. When I heard the mom tell him to come in for dinner and he said he was coming, I actually tried stopping the swing so he could get off. I tried being as still as possible, hoping he would get off. It wasn't until almost a minute passed when I thought to myself "ooohhhh i keep....swinging?" When he started to go higher and higher, I heard the moms voice again. I started to stop, but I picked up the pace instead. When his foot began to reach the branches, it wasn't until i paid close attention to the narrative when i said to myself "no....don't tell me he..." That's when the wind picked up and Calvin began to loop around. I thought "...ok he should've listened to his mom and got off, because he's going to fly..." And when he did, i let out a sigh and shook my head, thinking how sad that was.

I just had a whole dream about this game four years later. Every part of this scene. Except in my dream he didn't move his broken foot

This scene fucked me up, and I will never be the same since playing this game.

is it weird that I've made my swing go all the way around, made myself jump off, and still survive?

The sad thing is, his mother never told him to come inside again. She never got the chance too.
