Math 209 Lecture 2 - Intro to ODEs and separation of variables

In this lecture, after doing a very small review of integrals, we move on to chapter 2 in our text. We talk about differential equations, we define what they are and what it means to solve them. We define what an ordinary differential equation is, and we explore the method of separation of variables. We go through examples solving ODEs with this method and discuss cases where it does not work. We end by considering an application of ODEs--interest when compounded continuously.
