Subway manager fired after apparent racist text message

A Subway manager was fired after she made an apparent racist remark in a text message about a job applicant.

Regretfully, this happens everyday, on all levels in every facet of everyday life. What's unique about this, the manager was caught. It makes you think how many times this happens and no one is the wiser. Sad, that this scenario has happened, and will continue to happen no matter what shade of black to boot.

Incidents like this one help me understand why infact Affirmative Action was put in place. If an employer is going to exclude someone from consideration for a job just because of the color of their skin from the start, how unfair is that?

Racism needs to start paying people’s bills..I hope they sueing Subway for as much as they can get...I wish a racist that works for a big company will try me..

Reapply???? please! That manager has been doing this long before now... she just got caught this time! They let her off easy by firing her, my daughter would never have shown me that message, I’d give her a reason to not want to deal with “those people.” She’s learned nothing and they probably still won’t have any of “those people” working in the store. Racism won’t go away, it’s a learned behavior.

Like really subway would have been lucky that she was willing to work for them .. but those peoples money good are enough for subway,
