Girl Born With Beating Heart Outside of Her Chest Turns 14

Virsaviya Borun was born with a rare medical condition called pentalogy of Cantrell. The condition left her heart beating outside her chest only covered by a thin layer of skin. Over the years, Inside Edition has followed Borun’s story. Now, she's in eighth grade. Her mom says she's a miracle, but Borun sees things differently. “It's less of a miracle and more of my mother's love,” she says. Borun was told she may not live past 30 but her mom believes she will once again beat the odds.

She should use a shield ASAP. She's a kid, so naturally she's naive about the world and her surroundings, I can't comprehend how she's allowed to be unprotected like that. Even with the extremely care u can have, something that could harm the heart will happen sooner or later, life is long so she shouldn't take it lightly.
