Any music knowledge you share with us is greatly appreciated!! I’m 76 and prefer to watch music/accordion teaching videos only!! Thank you sooo very much!!

I've been a double bass player in rock 'n' roll and country bands for several years now, but I always loved the the sound of an accordion more. (I'm Belgian, so I grew up with the music of Jacques Brel in which accordeon is very important.) About 7 years ago I bought an accordeon and decided to learn it myself, just like I did with bass and guitar. Long story short: 3 years later I still didn't understand the bass side of the instrument, so I sold it again, thinking this instrument was way too hard for me. I kept regretting this every single day since. But last weekend, I decided to give it another try and bought myself a new accordion. Finding your channel is one of the best things that happened to me in my 'musical carreer'! NEVER before did anyone explain the basses on an accordion so clear as you did. I finally feel I could end up being a real accordion player someday. Although I'll never be as good as Marcel Azzola, with your great videos and lots of hard work I will get somewhere eventually! Thanks you a million times!

I have just started learning accordion. The lessons here will be a good basis for my learning how to play. The base buttons are my problems. I will search more.

Dear Patricia, thank you very much for the link to the "Jump start guide..." God bless you for your effort. I see already, it will help me to progress much faster and more sophisticated than I would do with out your free hep..

I'd like to see a video on bellows techniques! Thanks for posting these. Especially enjoyed a more complete explanation justifying fingerings. Hope you can resolve the audio issues with some of the demos. Thanks again!

Thank you so much!
I’m 61 and I’m finally going to learn the accordion, (I play piano a bit) I just bought one yesterday (it’s cheap😅) to get going and finding you is inspiring and empowering, so your mission is accomplished!
The first French one that you play always brings me to tears, I love it. Our mother is from Germany and dads family from Northern Italy and I’ve always loved the accordion and the waltz is hands down my favorite tempo. I’ve also lived in Tijuana and speak French, so accordion has been everywhere for me!
Love your video demonstrations here, so clear, and I’m so encouraged.
Thank you thank you thank you.

Thank you for your clip. I'm playing for quite a while, but there is always something one can add. For example the understanding that it is the bass that determines the sound. I followed it, but now I know why.

I'm so happy I found your channel! I found a beautiful Capri accordion for sale last night and am picking it up today! I've always wanted to learn ever since my dad showed me my late grandmother's accordion (I'm not sure if hers was a Capri as well, but I always wanted to learn on my own first before even attempting to try hers). Her favorite song to play was Redwing and it makes me feel close to her when I hear it. Maybe when I have a lot of practice, my dad would let me near her accordion some day!

What I like about your tutorials [well. many things actually] is that you explain "why" we should or should not follow certain techniques.

Thank you for posting this! I appreciated the explanation about the 4/3 vs the 3/2 fingering. I taught myself 20 years ago and used the 3/2 method, but ran into the problem you mentioned when I learned about the alternating bass method. I haven’t played much in recent years but I have been trying to start it up again. I wish I had started with the 4/3 method because it’s been super hard to use 4/3 on the songs I learned years ago
