The SECRET Stats behind Health and Armor in Breath of the Wild EXPLAINED!!

In a game where monsters can punish the players health very quickly, armor is the best chance a player has to ease these blows. But since this game doesn't really explain how its armor system works (besides simply "higher number good") I took it to myself to reverse engineer this system in order to figure out the exact stats behind armor...and even all damaging methods in this game!! I hope you find this information interesting, and hopefully it can help out in your future playthroughs!!

A quick update regarding the final part of the video - the lynel attack we mentioned near the end was only the SECOND highest form of damage in the game - the first being a gold lynels massive explosion that deals 216 damage!! (210 normal, 6 flame damage) With max defense (112) this means that the player will still take 104 damage upon a blow, or 26 hearts!!! Sorry for forgetting to include this, but now you all know the top 2 highest forms of damage in the game!! One thing that would be interesting to see in BOTW2 is enemies wearing armor. Enemies can already use weapons, it would be cool to see early game enemies with makeshift bone helmets and enemies later with full sets of armor. Maybe they could add a few sets that rarely drop from the enemies wearing them as the only way to obtain them

Just wondering: does having your metal weapons/bows/shields get struck by lightning have any effect on their durability?

I, ve actually discovered an even more damaging attack than a Gold Lynel with a 108 Savage Lynel Crusher (besides fall damage). It is still the Gold Lynel, but regardless of the damage of the weapon they have equiped, their explosive attack that has a massive AOE and it's commonly used to start the battle does 214 total damage (by my calculation).
