What Makes Hunt: Showdown One HELL of A Game?

Crytek’s bounty hunting PvPvE FPS Hunt: Showdown has enjoyed growing success since its release to early access in February 2018. In fact, during the recent Tide of Shadows event to coincide with the March time release of it’s bulky 1.12 update, Hunt: Showdown broke its own concurrent player record. Principal behind its ongoing success is the developer’s consistent fan-led approach, actively participating in community groups to discover and discuss ideas which they then incorporate into the game.

Of course, Hunt: Showdown’s gunslinging is fantastic too – tense, exploratory, and overwhelmingly thrilling, with a focus on individual playstyle. The game risked fusing too many disparate elements together in an effort to craft something unique, but as it happens Hunt: Showdown balances it’s influences just right to make it one hell of a game.

I have 4000 hours on hunt, every match feels fresh. Matches are always different, the bayou is a lot of things but it certainly isn't predictable.

I've been addicted to this game for a few weeks now. Whenever I can't play I always watch a few gameplay videos just to keep learning about the game and get better, even though I suck at it. Such an incredible multiplayer shooter

I got it a few months back and I'm obsessed 😂 I have a lot of fun playing. Try it! Once you get the hang of it you'll be hooked! Recomand viewing some YouTube tutorials before you start, learning curve is rather steep. Cya in the bayou, hopefully 😊

Playing it on PS5 for 1100+ hours now and always just want one more match. Amazing game, absolutely love taking different weapons that I’m not used to, creating fun loadouts and getting in fast firefights.

I bought this game I think a year and a half ago played for like a week and stopped because all my friends stopped which I wouldn't mind getting back in to it I'm not sure but I don't know if you can actually find random people to play with or was it just a friend thing but one of my friends don't want to play because he progress his character so far he don't want to lose it So he chose to not ever play it again 🤨

More maps, more enemies, testing of different ways to play. In 5 years they didn’t do the essentials for a multiplayer game…screw player input on mechanics. That’s the devs domain, creating a game with more content the longer it survives as a live service should be the first focus. There are what only 5 targets? Two types of pack enemies? Only 3 maps?!

For such a great game with some absurdly great ideas and execution of those ideas it forgot that what players want is more of a game to play. Instead I guess we got more hunters to buy? Fun fun

I would love a contraband extraction system added. Where you could pick up players dropped weapons and extract with maybe one or two including your own guns. And you can sell them in a marketplace to other players to make extra hunt bucks. Maybe like RuneScapes old marketplace system. This way players can make some extra money and get weapons a little cheaper than wats offered in the main game.

Do you need any of the DLC (For example: there is the base game on Steam but there is the DLC in the Deluxe edition worth the Extra $20?)
