I played Tarkov for 2800 hours. I left one wipe ago. Now I'm a committed, hat-wearing Hunt Showdown-fan. This game is SO GOOD. Just being able to play a match without worrying about frequent DC:s, desync, PiP-lag or other. The loop is so chill, and the event that is going on right now is a blast. The devs listened to virtually all the feedback from the last event, and made sure that fans would be happy. Buy it!

Just got into the game with my friends this year. My favorite moment so far involved me using the proximity chat to negotiate with an enemy team bunkered down inside the boss' lair.

Using a cowboy accent I managed to convince the bounty holders to let us take 1 of the 2 bounties if we let them revive their partners. It was stupid funny to hear a bunch of giggling cowboys be all diplomatic in this stressful game lmao

This game has become my favorite of all time. I'm 52 and have been a gamer since I was 15. I play this on an Xbox Series x and couldn't love it more.

I always have been a really competitive player, and mostly played games like CS, League of Legends, Apex, Fortnite (and more) for 10 years. I'm now 24 years old and just recently realized during a very sweaty game of Valorant that I just did not have fun anymore. I was just playing to get a better rank, mosty solo because my friends did not try hard as much as me. I now have a job and do not have the time and energy to try and be as good as the other players that are playing all day long.
But on a random night, hopelessly scrolling on the Steam store (probably after getting absolutely destroyed on the same videogame again, giving my heart and soul to try and be better at it) I happened to buy Hunt: Showdown. I started a game and got killed again, and again. But this time it was just different, for some reasons (that you already talked about in the video), I couldn't stop playing and wanted to try again every time.
I have now almost 600 hours into the game and I can tell that's it's probably the best PvP game i've ever played. It just made me enjoy videogames again. I even convinced my friends to play it with me and I did not have fun like that on a game since a very long time.
My point is that if you ever felt like your passion for videogames is fading, maybe it's time to get back to the basis and just dive into a very immersive game. And for that, maybe Hunt: Showdown is a solution for you.

My best Hunt story (1.2k hours) is when my friend shot a frag that was thrown at us mid-air. He killed both of our enemies and both of us with that one shot.

also, the maps are fucking amazing. the verticality, the density and all the little sneaky routes and hideouts. also, they are just gorgeous to look at. and during the event, when parts of it are set on fire, this is taken to a whole new level

I really wish I could play this but the fact I'm deaf in one ear renders me practically blind. I tried playing it once and a dude snuck up behind me and followed me for five minutes before I realised. And I realised because I got a shotgun blast to the head

my best moment in hunt was a game were the boss got banished in the middel of the map, and everyone rushed to the boss and met up at the same time for a massive shootout between 12 players, i died but that was a weirdly epic firefight and the sound of rifle's, revolver's and shotguns going off, firebomb's being thrown ugh it still gives me goosebumps :D

I love coming across videos like this. I have played Hunt for a few years and have many hours into the game, and yet it amazes me that so few people seem to know about it. As such, I’m always pleased to see new people giving it a shot and enjoying as much as I do.

Just started today. I was somehow able to takedown a duo as a solo, just kept picking at them while they were fighting the boss. They got dark sight and wanted revenge, but confidence only gets you so far when I can hear they're coming and I have a Romero. After one fatal peek for one of the hunters, the other whiffed a couple shots and I was able to get them with my revolver. My heart was jumping out of my chest and that remained until I extracted. Man, that felt good.

One of my favorite moments ive ever had in a game came from this one match in hunt showdown. Spawned right next to the bounty on Port Reeker. Took the bounty and turned on dark sight. Saw that the entire rest of the trio team server was there. Hunkered down for about 20 minutes. Revived my random teammate at least 8 times with necromancer because 50 last health chunk. Everyone died until it was just me and one other person. We traded. Nobody won. Everyone lost. Best game ever

It has the most rewarding but also punishing combat in any pvp fps I’ve played. The highs of landing a clutch headshot or wiping a squad to the lows of dying to pvp or whiffing an easy shot while your teammates spectate.

What I really like about Hunt Showdown is that it's not just about having good tracking/aim. Positioning yourself properly, taking advantage of NPC positions, stealth skills, setting up well-placed traps, and good team coordination can give you a fighting chance over very experienced players. I'm in my early 30s and I don't have as much time for video games as I did many years ago so it's refreshing to start up a Multiplayer FPS game that gives me a fighting chance just by using my brain and not needing 1000+ hours to get an aiming technique good enough to survive the 'hardcore gamers' of today.

Amazing video. I’ve been playing Hunt since 2019 and after 1800+ hours I can confidently say it’s one of the tightest games I’ve ever played. Hunt bleeds atmosphere and tension and even as a veteran I still encounter those heart pounding moments and gunfights thousands of hours later which no other game could do for me. The devs keep updating the game and the events, which were lackluster, keep showing signs of promise and keep getting better. There’s honestly never been a better time to get into Hunt and as a member of the community I thank you for this awesome video. See you in the bayou Hunter.

2:40 you can get the relevant “Iron” sight traits to prevent your hunter from Zooming in and out of sight when cycling shoots, Iron repeater in the case of levering action weapons such as the winfield aperture, iron sharpshooter for Bolt action rifles, Iron devastator for the specter and the slate, and “Scopesmith” traits for the relevant scoped weapons, Deadeye, Marksman and Sniper, not only these traits prevent you from zooming out, they also make you cycle ammo faster while aiming downsight so you actually get a little firerate boost when you have these traits
