I’ve never struggled with math but when I reached this concept I was very confused. I cried in class because I have social anxiety and as the smart kid, I have to be smart or my brain thinks I can’t do anything. My teacher was an absolute nightmare this year. I would ask why we wouldn’t do the inverse operation to the number by the variable first and she just repeated my question. You said it was because you have to do the order of operations backwards because algebra is working backwards. Thank you so much.

Everybody kept recommending salt and light learning to me and I just couldn’t comprehend the way she taught at all.I’m terrible at math dropped out in 8th grade so I’ve never dealt with algebra before and I’m working on my GED as we speak..I passed all subjects BUT math ugh I done had to do 4 pretests to FINALLY make it to the big league test and you only get 3 tries and if you fail at your 3rd try you got to wait 60 days😭Ofcourse I failed the first two times and I got one more try and I’ll either be waiting 60 days or be a GED graduate.this channel honestly works the best for me he makes it so simple and easy for me to comprehend things and I subscribed.salt and light learning might of worked for others but this works for me and you gotta figure and determine what works best for you and Mr J is what works best for me!THANK YOU!!

I need to leave this comment and I hope you read this. I am struggling in my college remedial class, it's a 3 hour class so new material is shown constantly and it just confuses us. To top that my professor teaches quite fast and as she solves the problem i'm still trying to figure it out. To simplify this just minus the known number by the answer. eg 10y x4 =80, to find the answer just 80-4=76.

Sir, I understood what you said but I have a question.
If you do it this way then

Let the equation be (- x= 6)
If you multiply "MINUS" signs on both sides,

-(- x)= -(6)
Then x= -6.
then is this correct or not
Please help
