My take on this, If you are new to certifications and none appear on your resume, you need to ask yourself what do you want to achieve and what the position you are chasing requires, if it is Scrum specifically, go for PSM or CSM, PSM is easier to prepare for and much cheaper (doesn't mean it is easier).
If you want a general Agile information not only Scrum and you want to learn more about XP, Kanban and other methodologies and you are already working as a PM and want to step into the Agile game, I would say go for ACP.
Anyway, if you look into the PMI next steps in the certifications roadmap after achieving ACP you will find that it teaches blended Agile approaches which is known as disciplined agile, so I think this gives you a glimpse about the different certification paths.

if you shop really well you can get CSM for as low as 430 USD. its still not as cheap as the PSM I but its much better than 1200 Usd ive seen some providers charge.

Just passed my PSM I. 95 in first attempt. How much different was the PSPO? I’m currently holding a product owner role in an agile environment. Took psm1 test first as a lead into the PSPO test.
