I love having flowers in my garden. Flowers are not only beautiful, but they attract pollinators and promote biodiversity. ⁣

If you're gardening in a hot climate, these flowers can survive and even thrive in high temperatures. ⁣⁣⁣

Tomorrow, I'll host a live online class on "Hot Summer Flowers." If you're interested in learning more about growing these beautiful flowers

I give you lots of credit for being an excellent gardener in Mesa, AZ!

I’m in Houston, TX and yesterday the heat index was up to 114F. My Zinnias do really well in high temps. They are brighter! Lisihantus are doing well but they are in pots!

Planted some Angelonia in my deck planters this year and they are so great! They never seem to look tired or droopy.

I’m from Peoria, AZ. I grow two of those AND they do just fine. When people come over to see my backyard. They’re like. This doesn’t like desert like I’m portrayed to see. 😂

I have them in the pots sitting under the shade most of the day maybe one hour of direct Sun. I water it daily in the Evening only, I soaked it real good. It's doing fine. I don't think it will survive direct Sun all day though with Phx heat climbing to 114 degrees right now

I’ve been trying a few Proven Winners brand. One is called Superbells lemon slice. They love the heat in the morning with shade in afternoon. I’m in zone 9b and we are like 100 103 now.

109 where I am today 🥵 I haven’t heard of most of these flowers, but I’m going to look them up now. I wonder if they all last for the entire season?

I started gomphrena weeks ago and they sit there in the 6 pack, 1/2 to 1" tall, doing nothing. Usually they take off for me. What's wrong?
Also - I've found pompom and double zinnias only bloom as singles when it gets this hot.

I would never guess that lisianthus loves heat! They look so delicate! Any growing tips? I’m in Texas 8B.
