As someone who owns a 2020 Corolla sedan XSE. The Forte has a better interior. Also if you want power. The 1.6 turbo and DCT is way better than the 2.0 and CVT from Toyota.

Besides that. The Corolla beats the forte.

The Toyota Corolla will last longer than the Kia Forte because the Korean's quality is not as good as the Japanese, so as the Forte gets older it will be less reliable

Interesting, that is not the Corolla LX. That looks like the SE. Not a fair comparison where the Kia Forte shown is the base model LX. We owned three Toyotas, Avalon, Camry and Rav4. Just recently bought a Kia Forte GT with the GT 2 package. What a fun car to drive, and it is fast compared to the Corolla (rental). We wanted the Corolla hatchback, but it was too small and it is almost $2, 500 more then the fully loaded Kia Forte GT. Yes, we heard stories about how unreliability the Kia's can be. In the meantime there are Kia owners out there had their KIa pass the 100K plus mark. Even over 200, 000 miles All of my older cars have reached over 220k (Civic, Accord, TL, Odyssey) before trading them in. I am looking forward to reach over 200k+ on our Toyotas. As for the Kia, we will wait and see. With proper care and maintenance, we hope for the best.
