I used to play organised volleyball from the age of 12 until 27 or so... for 15 years, NOBODY explained the float serve to me as good as this... Great job...

It looks so easy when I see other people do it

Floaters are crazy hard to pass. I've seen some that literally look like they're shaking in the air.
6:25 you can see the ball change direction mid air

Finally got the hang of it ! I already had a float-ish serve I self-learnt by trial and error, but having the right fundamentals is mandatory to improve. Thanks Coach, great detailed explanation !

I have been having some trouble with my serve lately, overthinking it and reacting to various tips. But this video was very informative, well thought out and solid fundamentals. I played recently and my serves were more consistent in distance and aim. Thank you for sharing this! Sincerely.

I didn't really know anything about volleyball but everyone told me that I should try it so I did, I was immediately good for my first season. My serves were good, my passes, my sets (although I didn't know how to hit). Then I started watching haikyuu, it gave me so much motivation I can't even explain. I practice every single day and I never give up. Haikyuu really did something to me and I don't know what it changed, it gave me something, and now I'm unstoppable. Everytime I walk on the court everyone somehow knows my name, every serve, pass, set, there's people yelling my name and I don't even know who they are 😳 I'm going into 8th grade and I've had my jump serve for about a year now, I've learned how to hit and I'm still practicing them every single day. I set to myself around the house and I've become obsessed. I love to learn from my coaches and I just love volleyball in general :)) Thanks for reading my story 😂

I have been playing for 10 years but have never been officially coached. I have developed pretty good spin serves but have been wanting to develop a float serve for my assortment of Different serves. I will be practicing this! Thank you!

Thank you! Great clear advice. Also, this is the only advice I've heard with regard to what part of the hand to use for a float serve and why.

Donny, come on the podcast! Your communication on this is golden. More people should get on board with these vids.

There are people who have been playing for years who are just getting it NOW!
