So you go through the wood first? What if I need it to go through the metal first?

Thank you for the video. This is exactly what I need to do. Reinforce the wood boards to the trailer frame, so I can install e-track. Did you pre-drill the wood?
Sidenote...you mentioned an impact drill. The directions in the screw box say "Use a standard screwgun". Not sure why.

Does this work for softer metals, like sheet aluminum? Or would those screws just strip it right out?

Teks sucks. Zinc coated, they wear out and strip easily, and often punch through because of poor tolerances on the tip. have used thousands. Terrible stuff.
