Hypothetically, let's say that the company orders all of the employees to leave. Then they get stuck on a road that eventually floods and many of them are killed. Some employees refused to leave the building, and they survive. In a disaster, sometimes there are no good options. People who have survived fires, tornadoes, even civil unrest so often attest to the miracle of their survival and scratch their heads as to why the person next to them lost their home or died.
