I actually went through this and I thought it was my problem but I realised that wasn't it.

I'm not the best gf and I was definitely NOT abusive to begin with. BUT overtime in the relationship my partner kept breaking promises, don't show enough commitment etc which made me more and more insecure and I became something I couldn't even recognise myself. I would say awful things that I never imagined would come out of my mouth.

After we broke up, I acknowledge my faults to only find out soon after that he started dating a girl who would spill all our relationship problems to our colleagues whom she only knew for 2 months. He shared our problems with that girl in a distorted view. They eventually broke up... probably over the same issues, commitment, communication etc.

I realised that I wasn't the main problem... I could have handled it better frankly. But I also realised that when your partner don't give you security, you can become more sensitive or even hysterical and they will manipulate you into thinking you are at fault.

So if you ever find yourself becoming a monster, question whether this was who you truly were and want to be or whether this monster was the result of hurt and manipulation from the one you loved.

Great acting!! Also, for anyone that wants to know, this sound clip is from the movie “The Little Death” from 2014. Great movie. It‘s a story about five fictional couples. For this couple that’s in the sound clip, his wife is accusing him of cheating but as a viewer we know that the woman he’s “cheating” with is actually her, his wife, while she’s sleeping. It’s the only time he can love on her without hearing her bicker or snap at him. It’s then that he discovers his somnophilia (arousal when watching a person sleep). It’s a comedy with a mix of some serious scenes. It’s worth a watch. 😊

Relationships take effort and that's what people forget. The things he is saying can easily be said by a woman to her SO. I can't speak from the male perspective (we have men out there I'm sure who can). From the female perspective, I find it difficult. There are often multiple things going on at once.
