For a better explanation>:

On April 16th 2014, a school I’m pretty sure was going on a field trip on a ferry. It was a big ship, and they stayed there overnight. One day, they were heading to jeju, South Korea when the ship started sinking. According to google, the ship sank due to overload of its limit. Apparently there was around 400-500 students on the ship, and some make it out alive. Most of them sadly died though.

Text explaining: the guy shown in the first clip is captain Lee, or Lee Joon seok. He was the one to blame throughout this whole tradgedy because he told the kids to stay put when the ferry was sinking, but he left the ferry safely. He ended up going to jail obviously because he lost the lives of 350+ children.

I heard some students gave away their life jackets for saving the young ones and others. Even in their age, they had more responsibility and choose sacrifice for the sake of others 😢😢. I hope they know they are loved and RIP 🖤

This story always makes me sad for ppl who don't know: the man was the captain of the ferry called:sowel that was sinking. he told everyone to stay on board while he escape and even some rooms were locked while he endangered everyone else. He said he "forgot" about people on the ship so 299 ppl died and 5 we're missing out of 43something (I forgot the number) so he weny to jail while 299 people lives were taken and about 400 were teens going on a field trip. (RIP TO THOSE THAT LOST THEIR LIVES😣)
Edit: Wow its been a year already!? Thank you for so 3.2k likes! :) sorry that I didnt spell the name right and forgot how many ppl died but I did my best to explain💞

Moral story is “don’t always listen to the older just because they older than you. Use your brain as well and your instinct”

He’s a coward and selfish. He only saved himself. He was the Captain and could’ve saved their lives to evacuate. Rest in peace beautiful souls.

Imagine the guilt and sorrow of the parents of those beautiful souls, especially if they say “always listen to adults and elders, they’re smarter and older than you ”

Hope they rest in peace 🫶🏻

There’s a Chinese saying: “If sorry had any use, why would police exist?”

Edit: Due to comments doubting that we Chinese do say that, let me explain the context.
Meteor Garden, the drama that popularized this phrase, was so popular that even people who didn't usually interact or watch that type of thing knew about it. Because of the drama, and due to how iconic and true it is, and nowadays it's fairly commonly used. Kind of like memes in the West.
The original Chinese phrase is "如果道歉有用还要警察干什么".
Honestly, seeing that human scum be like that inflames me. It can be said that he basically single-handedly killed these children, and so many of them too.

Everytime I see this video of Sewol's tragedy I feel really mad and sad at the same time. Really mad at the captain and feel so sad for those children who lost their lives because of him. It so happened on my daughter's birthday 16 April. Everytime I celebrate my girl's birthday I also know that in S.Korea there are parents who are grieving for their love one at the same time on their yearly ceremonial. Sorry for your loss.

For people who are confused:
On April 16, 2014 there was a class of 17-18 year olds on a school Trip to an island in South Korea 🇰🇷. They were on a ship called The MV Sewol hit an iceberg and the ship started to sink and the captain told everyone “stay there” and called the emergency line, and they came to rescue him. As the ship sunk
The children on the ship started freaking out and a lot of them died. One of them said “this is like the titanic”. And there are a lot of videos of the children trying to break the window, but sadly failed. And this is one of the worst tragedies ever, The MV Sewol tragedy. So on April 16, all of South Korea have a moment of silence.
Edit: This comment blew up! Tysm!
Edit 2: Sorry guys!! It wasn’t an iceberg, soz for spreading misinformation
