Russia developing weapon to target satellites in space, White House says

The White House confirmed Thursday that intelligence shows Russia is developing an "anti-satellite capability." The White House said the technology Russia is developing would violate a 1967 treaty banning nuclear weapons in space. Ed O'Keefe has more.

Russia has a right to defend its boarders and its territories anyhow they want. We encourage the Russians to press on, space does not belong to the US or the west. The US has space command and have assets up in the skies, we did not hear any opposition when this was done. If I was Russian, I would say, "lets us use what we have to defend our motherland" regardless of what it is.

way before 2 months ago i told my mom and other people that if someone develops a weapon to destroy the satelites in orbit, that weapon could easily destroy u.s. satelites since the u.s. satelites are vulnerable to attack. i never saw any news on russia or china developing weapons to destroy satelites but i do have a completely rational and strategic mindset. my mom told me a long time ago that she was shocked that i knew before anyone any news report that u.s. satelites would be easy targets to attack, if i remember correctly.
