It's not surprising he is well-mannered in the house. He obviously had lived the good life before and is happy to get off the streets, where it's rough. Much better to be indoors, sleep on soft cushions and get food all the time.

This is my Garfield; I just put him to sleep a week ago; he was a King till the very last second. He loved me and changed my life in the bestest of ways…. I learned so much from him; he even had manners!!! My orange cat was the smartest cat I ever had and I miss him much right now!!! ❤❤❤
