As a former helicopter mechanic, I love the Self Lubricating Chassis System. We always joked if a plane stopped leaking it just means its empty.

I find it funny when the expert Audi mechanic is shocked the engine isn't leaking. 😂

So that's how relays are tested. That's really interesting! Keep up more of these diagnostic segments!

Friend of mine was having issues with his car, it would just randomly shut off when at idle and only running about 12v instead of the 13.9-14v it should be. I told him most likely a bad alternator. I started looking around under the hood and found the previous owners had (for some reason) wired in three additional ground wires to the battery. Each end was very badly soldered into the crimp style connectors, each end was corroded and they were all loose AF. I ripped out all the wires, replaced the ground wire to the battery with a much cleaner one and he hasn't had a problem since.

I ended up with some decent gauge wires and crimp connectors that worked great for another project after I cleaned them up :D

Most techs (all, really) should know how a relay works and how to test one. But this is great info for the DIY who's scared of basic electrical. Great presentation from start to finish and, as usual, entertaining.

I believe this is the best condition high mileage Audi I’ve seen so far.

Whenever I watch your videos I ask myself "So what's it gonna be today? Shrek piss? Excess flavor? Fievel pays a visit?"

The easiest way to check the relay is to power the coil and ohm across the contacts to see if it’s actually energizing and allowing current to pass through the relay. Electrician with over 40 yrs experience.

People spend all their money on expensive cars, but when it comes to buying important parts like tyres they just can’t afford to replace them. Before you buy a car check how much parts and services cost !
