Video descriptions:
0:00 Intro
0:04 Customer States "truck shakes at highway speeds"
0:22 Customer States "there's a shake when at low speeds"
0:30 Surprisingly the oil was somewhat clean the filter really did its job
0:42 The customer said they hit a "hub cap" in the road and their car launched 3ft in the air. They wanted us to tell them what was damaged as the car stopped driving
1:03 Not the first time I've seen someone drill flares into the washer fluid
1:14 Customer States "I have no brakes, the pedal goes straight to the floor"
1:28 Customer States "hit a parked car and now their car doesn't drive, just sounds angry"
1:35 Bit of excess movement for this little piston
1:41 I wonder how long they were cranking it before the fuel pump gave up
1:52 Classic GM bodies vs salt
2:03 Either that or it wanted some air cooling instead
2:09 Apparently quite a common issue for these as there's no temp light for the coolant
2:20 Customer had a blow out while on the highway where the tread ripped off
2:25 Mechanic went to do some carbon cleaning on their cars intake manifold and found these cracked
2:38 Customer States "I think my tie rod is bent or something"
2:43 Let us know what this noise is in the comments below
3:16 Super dangerous if it wasn't latched as they catch on the wind fly up and smash the windscreen

Well, to be fair, that hubcap was still attached to the wheel, hub, and axle.

0:43 "Customer states, 'I hit a hubcap.'" Attached to a tank.

3:00 The sound is a three-phase IGBT inverter. A lot of hybrid cars now use a three-phase motor as a combination of HV battery charger, electric drive, and engine starter. Either the engine is locked up or the computer thinks it is.

Hubcap? Think it must’ve been Captain America’s shield.

That sound on the honda is the electronic throttle body cycling, I bet it just has a dead battery that doesn't have enough oomf to start the car but still powers up things here and there.

Maybe just maybe, hitting the hubcap meant a manhole cover. Regardless we're dealing with stupid drivers here.

It baffles me how many people don't change their oil

Sounds like electronic throttle tries to calibrate itself

i will never forget the one time a customer we had drove his honda oddysey into our shop with only 1 out of the 6 pistons firing. i have no idea how he managed to drive 15 min to our shop

Mystery sound could be the electronic throttle body. My Subaru does this if you just leave it in run without starting it. The throttle is trying to maintain a position. If you move the gas pedal the throttle whine will vary. I suspect the servo is bad but still works for now. Sounds just like that. You can’t hear it when it’s running so typical it’s not noticeable

I said “change your oil every 3 months or 3, 000 miles, not 3 years or 30, 000 miles!”

"fly up and smash the windscreen" That's the first time in almost 40 years of life I've ever heard a windshield called a windscreen.

2:44-3:14 I'll bet that starter is shot or your battery is weak. Had that happen to me on a 91 caprice. Same sound, dead spot in starter motor

Starter solenoid sounds like it's causing a dead short when engaged as you hear what sounds like electrical sparking after the mechanical clunk.

EarthDreams no start is probably just electronic TB noise + dead battery. We are used to this in the motorcycle forums every Spring.

@2:43 Not a mechanic - just your average joe - but it sounds like the starter's _trying_ to turn theengine over, but failing. And it's putting so much force into it it's _skipping, _ so that engine is _well and truly_ locked up.

At 3:00, probably a loose battery cable. My son's CR-V did the same thing until I found the culprit. Loose positive battery cable.

I think the mystery noise is the starter engaging on a locked up motor. Or it's the laughing noises that other guy said😂

That motor not starting making the weird sound sounds either hydrolocked or seized.

That noise is the sound of desperation
