This poor girl had an abortion at 13 and the mother wouldn't provide any details about the father so this POS "mom" protected him for that as well. He only served around 7 yrs for all the disgusting things he did to this poor girl.. I think there was a DA too lazy to do their job in this case...

The mother stood by “her man’s” side because she has deep-seated pick me energy and was in full competition of attention and affection from her husband and in that mindset she openly denied the fact that one he could abuse her child that way and two that he could be attracted to her child physically. Because that goes against everything her inner monologue told her. I am speaking from experience on this one.

Just the fact that he wouldn't allow her to do anything outside the house where he wasn't able to control what she did sends up major red flags for me as that's exactly what my step-dad did to me!
And I'm guessing the aborted baby belonged to him as well!!

I remember this case because it was featured on another show. Very sad for this young lady. She was 18 years old at the time of her death and today is 18 years ago today that she was murdered by her stepdad. RIP Brittany you have not been forgotten.

I remember this one. It was a horrible crime and heartbreaking because that young lady, Brittany, had her WHOLE life ahead of her and it was infuriating because her life had just started damnit! Then the info about the mom’s husband came out and we felt doubly bad for the mom UNTIL THE SICK WOMAN STOOD BY HIS SIDE! W.T.A.F?!? This story is unbelievable! I really feel that the stepfather should have gotten the death penalty hands down. No pleads or anything, he killed his stepdaughter and now he should have gotten killed. I feel that he pretty much got away with it. Wow 11 years in jail, for purposely killing Brittany. I am so disgusted right now, but I also believe in KARMA!!!

These predatory men are disgusting. The women who stand by them, should be prosecuted as accomplices, if it can be proven that they were aware that their husband, boyfriend, or significant other, was sexually abusing their child.
