1:16 the fifth track is CFE (Corporate Finance and ERM). i often wonder why SOA didn't combine life track and health track. bcos people usually buy both life and health insurance together.

I'm writing SOA exams. They recently add a General Insurance track to the FSA specializations, and also starting next year they will add 2 more exams about predictive modelling. Michelle can you make a video giving tips on how to find a job (LEDA X lol:)). I passed few exams but have not much actuarial field experience, though I have experience in Analytics in general and proficient in SAS. What things mater most on a resume? Cover Letter? Typical Interview questions? How to make yourself more employable as new grad? Etc... basically whatever is job related. I also would like to thank you for your videos. They are both entertaining and informative. You make the actuarial field so fun to learn about in your videos. Keep up the good work!

I saw another video where you said you use SAS a lot in your work. Would you say you have strong programming skills? Did you already know how to program in SAS prior to being hired, or was it a skill you picked up on the job.

Your videos are so interesting! It's cool to hear about the steps you took to get where you are today. I'm taking the CAS path as well. Although, I'm barely beginning. I expect to take my first exam(P) by the end of May.

Ha ha ha. This is so true!! The same happened with me. I am with the IFoA. And it's not because the IFoA is better than the CAS or SOA but it's because everyone at the company I am with is with the IFoA. LOL

Hey, im in my final year of highschool! Im stuck between going to school for engineering or applied mathematics (which offers a major in AcSci). Idk what to do!!!! My only worry about the actuarial life is that 1. I MIGHT FAIL (cuz ive heard its hard) 2. Im worried if i do it, since its a pretty niche major ill have a hard time finding employment. If i do actuarial science, it will be at either McMaster or Waterloo university in Ontario. Any advice? Where did you go to school?

I want to go the CAS route, however most of the jobs I've seen in Florida are on the SOA track. Hmmmm...decisions decisions.
