Had to carry a fat Col. in CFT that kept screaming
"Put me down! My balls!" in my ear.
"FU sir. This is timed." 😂

Boys, practice this often. Never thought I was going to have to do this in real life until I did.

I did it too. A depowered person is much heavier than you might imagine.

The crossing of their feet is critical in getting them vertical

That's amazing. Imagine how heavy is that with his own gear, the man's body weight WITH his own gear. Gosh u guys are incredible

Now watching someone do a Ranger roll into a firemans carry is awesome.

Definitely helps with they can stand for you, helps trim a little of the “dead weight” off.

My buddy struggled with me as dead weight during training, soft sand, full gear, 105 degree heat i weighed 132 at the time, he almost had a heat stroke within 15 minutes of trying to carry my limp body to the casevac point 20 meters

Man it’s been a minute, I don’t miss it. But man was it the best training there was. Thank God I never had to use it.

Praying he never has to use that technique and happy that he can do it 🇺🇸

Why do I lift heavy? My friend weighs 280 without kit.

Watch how will Willis does it. His method is the only I have seen that pork’s the way he demonstrates it. In training your buddies always inadvertently support themselves a little bit.

In training I've been on both sides. All I have to say, when you are playing a casualty, and when the rescuer tries picking you up, on a completely subconscious level, your body follows along trying to stand up, therefore helping the rescuer. It is a totally different story when you are trying to pick up a real dead weight or a weighted mannequin, that they started to use more and more for evac and casevac training. It is not as easy as it looks in the video. In the real world scenario, on the battlefield to evacuate a casualty, usually takes 3 to 4 guys out of the fight for the evacuation efforts.

My Mom had fallen down once. I rushed over and did this but from the back to get her on her feet. Checked her out first of course. Glad I saw this to remind me.
