Hello guys, Russ you introduced me to my first relic and coin detector,
Fisher F2... I got it with the 11 inch coil, that thing was a beast considering its a beginner detector, it
Didn't deal with EMI too well but boy I found some awesome coins with that, then I thought of getting the f75, and it was hard to find a dealer in Australia, couldn't even find anyone in America to export it here,
Fisher lost quite a lot of sales for that reason, I think there was some dealers that were complaining about not having full rights to sales..
so I ended up getting MINELAB,
but still to this day I'm disappointed with what happened..

This episode is of huge significance to me on this side of The Pond, because as a long-time 75er my heart is with FT. I have resisted all the latest and not so latest 'all new' MDs of their times: Why? because I realised that FT would, at some point be bringing out a 'All New' Single Frequency MD as their ageing 'Flag-ship' dated and their manufacture would eventually be phased-out... To hear Russ say that the new 12"DD works well in trials with a new MD they're bringing out was music to my ears! Clearly the new 12DD is a wired coil for a single frequency or a CMF, so it looks as if my long patient wait may bear fruit soon. I hear all the hype talk from the Noxer crew yada yada, but talk like that is boring, to me, for the most part. I'm not knocking no-ones MDs, ; each to their own and ATB, but I am a Fisher/Teknetic man for so many good reasons, and if they are going to bring out a new Flag-Ship Single, in line with a new Pulse Induction MD, then it's a safe bet it'll raise the bar. FT are long-timers that make superb tools. I sure hope to hear news of the new single frequency flag-ship soon.

Do you know if there is a 12" coil for the Liberator? Teknetics lists one for the Alpha, Delta, and Gamma. All run on 7.69 kHz as does the Liberator. Is there another reason why it wouldn't be compatible?
